Bret Rosen
Software Engineer
Background in Systems Engineering and Education
Learning is my jam.
At first, I learned facts: this was fine. Later, I learned how to learn, which was good.
Learning how to teach was even better, and it was this process that led me to realize that
learning is what drives me.
Whether it is learning how to teach Chinese high school students to prepare for American
education, or learning how to peel vegetables in the traditional Japanese method with an
usuba knife, or learning how to connect a React frontend server to a Flask backend server, I
find the learning process invigorating and fulfilling.
Looking into the future of software engineering and the opportunities for learning fills me
with hope. “Tomorrow” may be learning a new programming language, and the “next day” may be
learning neural networks, and… who knows? I look forward to learning what the future of
software development holds for me.
I'm looking for a software engineering position with a preference for back-end/data-oriented
roles.
